Terrace Pediatric Group is monitoring the current outbreak of the new Coronavirus, (COVID-19), on a daily basis. We will continue to follow the standard infection-transmission precautions for healthcare facilities and follow any recommendations that the Tennessee Department of Health may have to help decrease any possible exposures to our patients and patient's families, as well as our staff. We are hoping to keep everyone safe and healthy.

We strongly recommend everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated as soon as possible. Anyeone 12 years and older may get this done a numerous sites in Middle Tennessee. We do not currently have the COVID vaccine and will update patients if we do, but we do not recommend you waiting until it is availalbe in our office.

There are still many unknowns about this virus and the recommendations seem to change as we learn more. We will continue to stay informed and share information with you.

Our office protocol was changed early in the Pandemic as we adopted the "Safer at Home" recommendations with trying to avoid any unnecessary office visits. As those recommendations have relaxed a bit, we have still decided to have certain safeguards in place.

  • All physicians and staff will wear a mask at all times and adhere to strict handwashing guidelines, wearing gloves if necessary.
  • Per CDC guidance, masks are required in our office, even for those who have been vaccinated. They are required for all patients 12 years and older, and strongly recommended for patients 2 years and over.
  • Please bring your own masks for yourself and your child(ren) to your appointment. While we do have a limited number at the front desk, we do not have enough to give to everyone.
  • Please notify us if your child has COVID symptoms, a known exposure, or is awaiting before coming in for a well visit, as we may need to reschedule.
  • Please try to limit additional children and adults at visits if at all possible.
  • Patients with suspected COVID may be asked to wait in the car and call the office prior to coming in so we may bring them straight to a room without unecessarily exposing other patients and staff. You also may be contacted via phone by our billing department to verify insurance.
  • Sick visit appointments will be made ahead of time and there will be no walk-in appointments at this time. Patients that arrive without appointments will be instructed to return to their cars and call the office to discuss symptoms with a nurse and schedule a same-day appointment for the next available time.
